helicopter flight training

Discover how fun it is to fly a helicopter!

At New Orleans Aerial Tours & Flight Training, we are proud to offer helicopter flight training! You will do your training with us as Part 61 in a Robinson Raven II R44 aircraft (with A/C). We offer full private, instrument and commercial ratings; add-ons; transitions from fixed wing; and can even help you get your flight instructor ratings.

All your flight lessons are one-on-one, so you get the most complete and personal instruction available and can start any time. We are open 7 days a week and will work with your schedule.

All student pilots will need an FAA medical and will need at least a student pilot certificate from the FAA (we can help you apply for both). You will also need non-owned renter's insurance before any solo flights with a minimum of $50,000 coverage for physical damage to the aircraft.

We'd love to set up a time to show you around and answer your questions, or get you flying with a discovery flight. Call us at 504-241-9131 to get started.

Applicants will receive a minimum of 20 hours dual instruction and 40 hours of solo flight time as they pursue this rating under Part 61 guidelines.
